Our NEW Entry level Race 370 uses PTT over Cellular technology to give licence free Race Communications over short or long range in the UK and Europe & USA*. It is ideal for Testing, Entry Level racing as well as rally and long range road applications. The system uses the Data capability of 3G and 4G Mobile Phone networks to transmit voice communications.

PTT over Cellular sends each individual call as a small data package so only data is used when you talk. This eliminates the need for a constant phone connection during use, as found on other mobile phone based systems.

The System uses DATA only and uses our Multi network eSIMs, that give Data connectivity in The UK and Europe. Our eSIM's also Roam between the main 4 networks in the UK and 58 different networks in Europe Plus 1 USA network. The system will come pre-configured with our eSIM that gives a data allowance each month for the first year of operation. SIMs can then either be replaced with other SIM cards or topped up for a further year. Typical top up for these SIMs is around £39 for the year.

A key feature of our eSIM card is that they can be configured over the air, so if you travel outside Europe we can provide connectivity Worldwide. Range is only limited by the availability of a suitable Mobile network so units can be 100s or even 1000s of Km apart.

No radio licence is needed making it ideal for use when abroad in Europe, even worldwide* if the SIM is suitable. The system can also be used at places where the use of radio is restricted.

*USA use may be limited to a single network require different hardware. Countries outside Europe UK and USA will require different data sims to work.

RUNNING COSTS

The system is supplied with a pre-fitted and configured multi-network UK, EU, and USA roaming eSIM card that lasts for 1 year. The data allowance on these cards is adequate for POC use in motorsport; data usage is aggregated over the number of devices to make the best use of all the data allowance. If the cards are used for other applications (i.e. removed from the POC device and installed into a phone), extra data used will be charged for.

POC systems require a POC server to operate. We supply the system with 1 year access to a POC server. After the first year expires, you have the option to continue paying annually; the current annual server access cost is £80.00 per year per device. When the included SIM and POC server access expires, we would like to think you continue with our service, but you are free to make alternative SIM or server arrangements if you wish.

LIMITATIONS OF USE

The system is totally dependent on the Network coverage in the area of use. The system will work on 3G or 4G Mobile networks; good 3G or 4G coverage in the area of use is essential to ensure reliable and consistent communications.

The system may have some latency (delay on messages). For subscription servers, typical delays are less than 0.5 seconds for 4G and less than 0.6 seconds for 3G connections. Poor or no cellular coverage may introduce longer delays, but as soon as good coverage is obtained, the message is heard. This applies even if the car loses signal for longer periods due to bad coverage. Free servers can give a larger delay due to heavy usage; we always recommend using a paid server to minimise latency.

DATA SERVERS

For best results, we supply our systems on a paid data server. The data server is a service that relays the data packets from one device to another. Paid data servers are both quicker in relaying data and do not suffer from congestion at busy times. Our systems are supplied on a pre-paid 1-year high-quality server subscription service.

REMOTE USE

As the system is network-based, there is no restriction on where it can be accessed. Users can log into the system using compatible devices from anywhere there is cellular coverage or internet connection. This means a team manager, engineer, or support supplier can talk directly with the team or car from anywhere**.
