Our Video systems are designed for use in all forms of Motorsport and extreme action applications. Recording is done in Mpeg 4 and Mpeg 2 formats. All recorders save the recorded files on memory card ensuring that there is no moving parts, this makes the possibilities of perfect recordings in situations where vibration and G forces make it difficult for conventional recorders to function.
FORMATS:
Mpeg 4
Mpeg 4 recording can offer extended record times for longer recordings, with our new dual mode recorder this can be done with a minimal reduction in record quality.
Mpeg 2
Mpeg 2 recording is normally associated with higher quality recordings similar to DVD quality, however the Mpeg 4 format now offered in our dual mode unit can use the same bit-rate frame, rate and resolution as Mpeg 2 and so similar DVD quality.
To decide on the best format for you the best thing is to consider what you would use the recording for. Mpeg 4 for card media efficiency, Mpeg 2 for direct writing to DVD and possible passing on to the media, or if you wish to cover all aspects consider our dual mode unit.
